Fearless Sarah, Duchess of York returns behind the camera

The film had a screenplay by Julian Fellowes, the creator of Downton Abbey, and featured a walk-on part by one of the Duchess?s two daughters, Princess Beatrice, as a lady-in-waiting.

The Turkish arrest warrant could complicate the Duchess?s negotiations with American film companies. Earlier this month, she cancelled a trip to the United States amid concerns that it might honour the extradition request.

The Home Office has reassured her that it will not extradite her because the charge of which she is accused ? ?violating? the privacy of children at state-run orphanages by filming them covertly ? does not constitute an offence under British law.

A friend of the Duchess says she is, however, trying to persuade the Turkish authorities to revoke their arrest warrant. ?Sarah is keen to resolve the situation amicably and her lawyers are working on it,? says the friend.

Fergie faces another headache later this year when her former dresser and close friend, Jane Andrews, is expected to be released from prison. Andrews was inseparable from the Duchess during the nine years that she worked for her. She was jailed in 2001 for murdering her boyfriend, Thomas Cressman.
