Thierry Mugler has taken Eva Mendes under his wing as the new face of Angel, and last night in New York, Eva Mendes, revealed her new campaign due out in September.
Actress Naomi Watts who posed as the face in 2008, has now passed over the baton.
The star-shaped scent Thierry Mugler launched in 1992, was specifically formulated to recreate childhood memories, and is famous for smelling just like chocolate. The scent created by Givauden includes patchouli praline, caramel and vanilla.
The glamorous campaign picture taken by Inez van Lansweerde & Vinoodh Matadin features Mendes posing in a strapless evening dress and holding the bottle of perfume close to her d�colletage.
Best known for playing the girlfriend of Denzel Washington's character in Training Day, Mendes, famous for her Cuban-looks, has also been the face of Calvin Klein Lingerie, and in, 'Last Night', her most recent film, she stars with Kiera Knightly.
Eva and Naomi seem to be following each other around lately, as Eva ironically appears with, Naomi Watts, in a new Pantene TV and print campaign, out in the US this July.
Thierry Mugler has a knack of choosing the perfect star. For the 1995 Angel campaign he used Jerry Hall, and keeping his finger on the pulse, he placed Lady Gaga in his autumn/winter 2011 show. Lady Gaga's stylist Nicola Formichetti is the creative director of Thierry Mugler.
