Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher: a life in tweets

Kutcher took to Twitter famously and used it to raise his profile, challenging CNN to a race to one million followers. He won the race and overtook Britney Spears to become the first user with more than one million followers. After reaching 1,000,127 followers, he tweeted:

Twitter@aplusk Victory is ours!!!!!!!!

In 2009, Moore was accused of snubbing the wife of former Prime Minister Sarah Brown, who is also an avid Twitter user, by ignoring her messages on the site. The actress also took to Twitter to describe seeing Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle for the first time:

Twitter@mrskutcher You saw it made me teary!

For many, the couple's Twitter appeal was their intimacy and on their wedding anniversary last year, Moore tweeted a photo of the pair together in bed:

Twitter@mrskutcher Thank you for all the anniversary wishes! Enjoying a day lounging around watching "Breaking Bad" Great show! http://twitpic.com/2rmd1d

For others, Moore's tweets were just inane, such as this one about her hair:

Twitter@mrskutcher Kind of digging soft curls with a side part. A good change from straight with a middle part?

Before it was announced Kutcher was to replace Charlie Sheen in Two and a Half Men, he teased fans with a question, the answer to which is 2.5:

Twitter@aplusk what's the square root of 6.25?

As speculation mounted on the state of her marriage in September, Moore posted a number of cryptic tweets:

Twitter@mrskutcher When we are offended at any man's fault, turn to yourself study your own failings. Then you will forget your anger.

2day can U feel some1 else's heart pain needs desires as U can feel your own? At the core we're all reaching 4 the same.

Kutcher's first tweet after the announcement of their divorce paid tribute to his wife:

Twitter@aplusk I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and Light, AK
