Paloma Faith, the striking singer-songwriter and wearer of all things retro, has turned her hand to designing a unique collection of beautiful vintage-inspired satin underwear and sleepwear for La Senza to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Care.
The 'Stone Cold Sober' and 'New York' singer has designed a range of three satin pieces which include a 30 emerald play-suit; a 30 ' Dolce Vita '-style halter-neck bra, and matching high-waisted French knickers for 16, with a donation from each piece purchased going to Breast Cancer Care.
Paloma Faith: I've got a good sense of humour
"I'm really excited about my range of lingerie that I've designed for Breast Cancer Care this year. I've gone for a luxurious 1940s style.'' said Faith, who was once a sales assistant in risque underwear shop Agent Provocateur.
The 26-year-old singer, whose music is influenced by soul and jazz and is compared to the late Amy Winehouse and Duffy, has a strong affinity to the breast cancer charity, as her own mother also suffered from the disease. ''My mum had breast cancer so this is a cause I am very passionate about. Without Breast Cancer Care some women would have nowhere to turn to. With one person diagnosed with breast cancer every 10 minutes, many of us will sadly know of someone dealing with the disease right now. Breast Cancer Care will use the money we raise together to ensure none of them face it alone."
